Successfully Held the Third World Dental Forum in Hong Kong
The World Dental Forum 2015 was successfully held on 21st and 22nd of October at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. It has been the third time for Modern Dental Group to organize this grand event for dental professionals with an aim to promote academic sharing and exchange of technical know-how.
The programmes of World Dental Forum 2015 featured a galaxy of world-renowned speakers from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, France, Hong Kong, the Netherlands and the United States. It was followed by a Gala dinner and visit to the Modern Dental Laboratory in Shenzhen, which is equipped with world-class production facilities. A variety of topics were covered throughout the two-day forum, including esthetic dentistry, prosthodontics, digital dentistry and rehabilitation. As the academic co-organizer, Hong Kong Prosthetic Dentistry Society helped to validate the lectures to become part of the accredited Continuous Dental Education Programs for Hong Kong dentists. Besides, there was a “Digital Now” exhibition during the conference, which was a rare occasion for many of the world’s renowned intra-oral scanner providers demonstrating their latest devices.
Aside from intellectual pursuits, World Dental Forum 2015 provided a golden opportunity for dentists from different parts of the world to gather, attracting a total of 500 participants to join the event. It is worth mentioning that Professor Thomas Flemmig, Dean and Clinical Professor in Periodontology of Faculty of Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong, together with Dr. Edmond Pow, Chairman of the Hong Kong Prosthetic Dentistry Society and the moderator of Continuing Medical Education, Continuing Professional Development, were the guests of honour in this event.
